This apprenticeship is a great way to develop key transferrable administrative skills whilst working within a small and friendly team. This opportunity is ideal for somebody who is looking to kick-start their career working for a great company. You will learn from an experienced and supportive team and there will be scope for your role to evolve as your experience develops. Your role will be busy and varied and due to the nature of the work, the daily workload will not always be predictable! This is a hands-on role dealing with all aspects of the business; from customer liaison and database management to compliance support and business processing.

Administration Assistant Role:

An Administration Assistant, or Clerical Assistant provides administrative and clerical support for an office or department. Duties include welcoming visitors at reception, answering, routing phone calls and maintaining an organised filing system.

Other Duties:

  • Monitoring office supplies and reordering them as needed
  • Operating and overseeing the maintenance of office equipment, such as printers and photocopiers
  • Typing letters, reports and other business documents
  • Updating and maintaining records, both on paper and digitally
  • Arranging meetings on behalf of the staff, including booking meeting spaces and organising refreshments
  • Taking and distributing meeting minutes
  • Making travel and accommodation arrangements for staff
  • Responding to questions and requests for information
  • Generating memos, emails and reports where appropriate
