Job SummaryAs the day-to-day operational lead for institutional fundraising, the Development Officer manages The New Press-wide grants efforts and is responsible for securing support from foundations to meet the organizations philanthropic goals and operating needs. In addition to conducting prospect research, writing, and managing grant proposals, the position is also responsible for assisting in planning and budget development, including developing other materials as needed. The position reports to the Senior Director of Development and co-supervises the Development Assistant and other junior staff as needed.
