Facilities Assistant Role:
A Maintenance Assistant, or Facilities Assistant is responsible for providing support to a Maintenance Team. Duties include maintaining the grounds of a domestic or commercial property, conducting minor repairs to the structure and responding to requests from clients or end-users.
Other Duties:
- Maintaining grounds by mowing lawns, clearing leaves and gritting paths when necessary
- Inspecting, fixing and maintaining equipment and machinery
- Completing scheduled maintenance tasks
- Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing
- Providing information and advice on maintenance issues to clients and customers
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Liaising with contractors to ensure that they complete projects on time
- Painting and decorating or conducting repairs to flooring and other fittings
- Ensuring rooms are maintained and fully equipped
