Laboratory Assistant: Ground Remediation Systems Ltd
Due to our growth and the expansion of our laboratory services, we are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join the team at our award-winning Immingham site, to play a vital role in supporting our quality assurance work by carrying out a variety of laboratory tasks.
Position: Laboratory Assistant
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Full Time
Salary Guide: £17,000 – £25,000

Laboratory Assistant Role:
A Lab Assistant, or Laboratory Assistant, supports Scientists, Doctors and other lab professionals. Primary duties include setting up lab equipment, analysing and cataloguing samples and performing some clerical work.
Other Duties:
- Checking equipment and stock levels and ordering supplies as required
- Sterilising, calibrating and setting up lab equipment
- Labelling, sorting and storing lab samples
- Monitoring and reporting on experiments when required
- Disposing of waste and storing lab equipment after use
- Answering telephone and email enquiries on the Lab Supervisor’s behalf as required
- Performing laboratory testing
- Clerical tasks including printing and filing reports and data entry
