Successful applicants will have responsibilities in independent research, collaborating with the QUB team, focusing on the finite element modelling of the engine and nacelle sub-assembly, exploring novel design configurations to improve the structural response of the powerplant. Direct collaboration with Rolls-Royce will be a key aspect of the role, including regular visits to the companys state of the art facilities in the UK. You will have extensive opportunity to show case your work to project partners at regular technical meetings and workshops.
