Regional Manager Role:
An Area Manager, or Regional Manager, is responsible for the financial success and day-to-day operations of the business within a defined geographical or operational area. Duties include setting sales targets, hiring staff and providing leadership.
Other Duties:
- Setting sales, turnover or profit targets
- Motivating staff to meet their targets and helping them to achieve their goals
- Hiring new staff and overseeing promotions within their area
- Providing training opportunities or development programmes for their staff
- Mediating disputes between employees
- Identifying areas for development and improvement within their area
- Implementing action plans that lead to change or improvement
- Ensuring quality consistency across the region
- Communicating with clients on a regular basis
- Ensuring quality control of products and customer service across their area
