Finance Analyst Role:

A Finance Analyst, or Finance Specialist, examines the organisations financial data and uses their findings to help companies make informed business decisions. Duties include monitoring financial movements in the market, highlighting research and reporting financial information and determining budgets for upcoming projects.

Other Duties:

  • Gathering operational and standard costs to determine the price of operating a business
  • Identifying the financial status of businesses by comparing achieved results with financial plans and goals
  • Establishing policies and procedures for cost analysis and recommending actions to the management
  • Analysing financial results and identifying trends to help improve the financial status of an organisation
  • Preparing reports on financial revenue and expenditures and communicating the insights of the reports to business management
  • Developing automated accounting programs to help increase productivity and business efficiency
  • Carrying out business studies on the past and present performance of a business to make predictions, simulations and models
  • Settling transactions by rectifying and matching financial data
