VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: Iona Community
Join the team at Iona Abbey as our Volunteer Co-ordinator and play a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive community. You will oversee the volunteer journey from recruitment and pre-arrival through induction, supervision and departure, ensuring every volunteer has a positive and rewarding experience. Working closely with the Operations Manager and department heads, you will lead recruitment, provide regular one-to-one support, and organise social activities that strengthen community life. This rewarding role combines people management, pastoral care and administration, supporting up to 80 volunteers each season who contribute to the Abbeys unique rhythm of hospitality, worship and shared work.
