Inventory Clerk Role:

An Inventory Clerk, or Stock Control Clerk, monitors product levels and ensures there are enough supplies to meet the companys demands. Primary duties include accurately tracking inventory data, solving discrepancy problems and analysing previous data to help the company make informed decisions for the future.

Other Duties:

  • Maintaining and updating inventory records
  • Checking stock levels and ordering new stock when necessary
  • Receiving deliveries and dealing with vendors
  • Implementing inventory procedures
  • Answering customer inquiries and complaints
  • Reporting any stock discrepancies to management
  • Analysing inventory trends for future stock orders
  • Moving stock with a forklift
